History
Our Company
The Rehab Documentation Company, Inc. (TRDC) is the leader in point of care documentation software for the rehab industry. Our line of ReDoc products is designed to address the clinical documentation and business needs of physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech-language pathologists throughout the continuum of care.
TRDC is a therapist owned and operated company with a mission to develop information technology tools that specifically meet the workflow processes of treating and managing patient documentation. Our applications are designed to interface with the multitude of other billing and larger hospital systems, to increase the efficiency, accuracy and productivity of the entire clinic. TRDC works closely with Microsoft and the Health Level 7 (HL-7) organizations to stay current with industry standards for application development, support, and electronic exchange of information. TRDC currently employs approximately 31 people, including 7 therapists who help develop our product and train our clients to successfully implement and interface ReDoc into their clinics. We have been inducted into the Nashville Area’s Future 50 Companies Hall of Fame by the Nashville Chamber of Commerce for being one of the area’s fastest growing companies for five years in a row.
TRDC was founded in 1995 by Gerry Stone, PT, M.Ed., GCS. Gerry has over 20 years of diverse clinical and managerial experience in various rehab settings. He also served on the Neuromuscular Panel of the APTA which helped to write the Guide to Physical Therapist Practice, Volume I, (1995 -1997).
One of Gerry’s main objectives in developing and evolving ReDoc software is capturing the latest clinical terminology, semantics and critical thinking logic as set forth by the national thought leaders. ReDoc software was endorsed by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) from 1998 to 2007 for its clinical excellence and user friendliness. The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) exclusively endorsed ReDoc OT in 2002. Today, there are over 1200 healthcare providers, representing more than 10,000 therapists licensed to use ReDoc software on a daily basis. Our company has been growing rapidly since 2000, and is expected to continue and accelerate growth, as the rehab industry discards hand written paper forms and adopts electronic medical records.
